Programs

Growing up with a parent with cancer, the Holt Brothers know first-hand the difficulties that arise. There’s uncertainty about the future. And fear. There’s medicine and treatments. There’s sadness instead of joy.

To help other children get through what they experienced, Terrence and Torry started a foundation dedicated to supporting children who have a parent with cancer. Rather than running their own programs, they look to partner with other organizations or support programs that embody their mission.

The Foundation will continue to focus on the KidsCan! program, which is run at four hospital locations, and Camp Kesem, a camp founded and run by college students for children 6-16 who have a parent with cancer.

“If we had programs like this when we were growing  up, it would have brought great joy to my mom and to us. It would have been a much-needed escape from cancer,”  says Terrence, explaining why this mission is so important to him and his brother.
