In memory of Ojetta V. Holt-Shoffner

“When you’re that young, you don’t understand what cancer is, what it does, or why people are sad and upset.”

Torry Holt was 10 and his younger brother Terrence was six when their mother Ojetta was diagnosed with lymphoma. After she passed away, they made a commitment to help and support children who have a parent or guardian with cancer; and for 20+ years the Holt Brothers Foundation has been delivering on that promise.

The Foundation’s flagship program is KidsCAN!, an educational and peer support program for kids who have a parent or guardian with cancer. Since 2018 the foundation has offered a scholarship program for KidsCAN! alumni for secondary education purposes. In addition we also support Camp Kesem, a sleep-away camp for children ages 6–16 who have a parent or guardian with cancer.

Programs are funded by sponsors and partners who take part in the Foundation’s fundraising events. You can help and join our team by supporting and attending one of these events or by making a donation.

It’s all for the kids!
