Led by the Holt Brothers Foundation’s Advisory Board Chair, Ryan Switzer, the Fab Five is on a quest to train for and complete the IRONMAN Maryland. No small feat. The race will begin with a 2.4-mile swim in the Choptank River. Water temperatures can vary between 73 and 79 degrees Fahrenheit. Then, there’s a 112-mile bike through Dorchester County and into a wildlife refuge. The course is flat, fast and scenic. The race will finish with a 26.2-mile run on flat country roads offering numerous straightaways. Challenging, right? But it’s about more than the race. For the Fab Five, it’s also about supporting kids who have a parent with cancer and raising awareness of the Holt Brothers Foundation.
